On October 16, 2024, Nandu Power successfully won the bid for the photovoltaic distribution and storage procurement project of an energy storage EPC company in India, with a total capacity of 242.5MW/245.26MWh. This project includes 5 photovoltaic distribution and storage sub projects, with the main supply content being the Nandu lithium battery energy storage system.
The project is located in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka, which are important industrial and population centers in India. With the rapid growth of electricity demand, it is expected that India will face a nighttime power gap of 20GW to 40GW starting from 2026, accounting for approximately 8% to 12% of total demand, putting immense pressure on the power grid load.
To address this issue, the Indian government is vigorously promoting the deployment of centralized photovoltaic distribution and storage projects, accelerating the application of renewable energy to ensure stable power supply.
After the completion of the project, the Nandu Power Energy Storage System will effectively enhance the stability of the local power grid, alleviate power shortages during peak hours, and promote India's sustainable energy transformation.
