Ganzai Hydropower Station, as the first hydropower project invested and constructed by China Electric Power Construction Group in BOT (Build Operate Transfer) mode overseas, is also the first hydropower station undertaken by China Hydropower Tenth Bureau to undertake comprehensive operation and maintenance business overseas. Its operational performance has been astonishing. As of now, the Ganzai Hydropower Station has generated over 400 million kilowatt hours of electricity, with a total power output exceeding 5.68 billion kilowatt hours since 2012. It has been operating safely and stably for 4707 days, continuously breaking and maintaining records for continuous operation.
The Upper Marshyangdi Hydropower Station in Nepal is a BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) hydropower project invested and constructed by Electric Power Construction Investment Corporation in Nepal. It is also the first hydropower station of a Chinese enterprise in Nepal. Since its commercial operation in 2017, the Shangshangdi Hydropower Station has won high recognition from the Nepalese government for its outstanding performance.
