On April 1st, a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Electricity Group in Hanoi, Vietnam. A delegation led by Luo Bixiong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Power Engineering Consulting Group of China Energy Engineering Group, met with a delegation led by Dang Hoang Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Group. Nguyen Anh Tuan, General Manager of the Vietnam Electricity Group, witnessed the signing.

Dang Hoang Anh expressed his excitement about the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Electricity Group and China Power Engineering Consulting Group. He emphasized that the signing of this cooperation agreement is of great and far-reaching significance. The Vietnamese government is preparing to release a supplementary plan for the Eighth Power Development Plan. In the future, it will focus on the development of renewable energy and clean energy, and give priority to the development of nuclear power. The signing of the agreement marks that the two sides will, through complementary advantages, jointly explore new opportunities in Vietnam's energy field, and achieve new breakthroughs in cooperation in areas such as the integration of power sources, grids, loads and energy storage, wind power, photovoltaics, energy storage, nuclear power, high-voltage direct current transmission, the green transformation of the power industry, as well as expert exchanges and cooperation, and human resources training, so as to help Vietnam achieve its sustainable development goals.

Luo Bixiong expressed his gratitude for the support and trust of the Vietnam Electricity Group. He pointed out that China Power Engineering Consulting Group has advantages such as design leadership, high-end consulting, and industrial integration, and provides integrated solutions for investment planning and development in the energy and power sector, contributing to the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy and power industry. The Vietnam Electricity Group shoulders the important task of ensuring Vietnam's national power supply and the mission of green development, which is related to the important economic foundation of the country's development. The signing of this agreement marks that the energy and power cooperation between the two groups and the two countries has entered a brand-new stage. China Power Engineering Consulting Group will, together with the Vietnam Electricity Group, carry out in-depth cooperation in many aspects, including ultra-high voltage direct current transmission, new energy, nuclear power, energy storage, the interconnection of the power grids between China and Vietnam, green hydrogen, ammonia and methanol, integrated bases, and the improvement of the quality and efficiency of existing power units.
