China University of Political Science and Law and the Court and International Arbitration Center of the Astana International Financial Center signed a memorandum of cooperation in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on May 26, planning to jointly carry out practical cooperation in international arbitration and the cultivation of high-level foreign-related legal talents.

Jiang Zeting, secretary of the Party Committee of the China University of Political Science and Law, who is visiting Kazakhstan, said in a meeting with Christopher Campbell-Holt, CEO of the Astana International Financial Center Court and International Arbitration Center, that the China University of Political Science and Law relies on the strategic layout of "one center and multiple bases" to continue to deepen mutual learning of the rule of law between China and Central Asian countries. At present, China University of Political Science and Law is preparing to establish a Global Rule of Law Leadership Institute to cultivate high-level talents with a global vision and proficient in international legal rules for Chinese and foreign students, and provide talent support for global governance and other work.

Campbell-Holt said that the economic and trade cooperation between Kazakhstan and China has been deepening, and the demand for resolving cross-border disputes has grown. He proposed that the two sides deepen the normalized cooperation mechanism, promote mutual learning of commercial arbitration rules, and send personnel to carry out practical training and joint training, so as to provide legal guarantee for regional economic and trade development.
