Not long ago, Sihanouk Province in Cambodia held an event to celebrate the container throughput of Sihanouk Port exceeding one million standard containers. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Ma Nai stated that the container throughput of Sihanouk Port will increase by 29% year-on-year in 2024, reaching an unprecedented high level and contributing to the country's economic development. According to Lu Jinchun, the general manager of Sihanouk Port, the port has undergone modernization and upgrading, and has become an important force in promoting Cambodia's economic opening and enhancing its international competitiveness.

Singapore Port has over 250 shipping routes connecting the world, attracting hundreds of shipping companies from more than 80 countries and regions to dock and transit here, making it one of the most utilized ports in the world. According to data from the Malaysian Ministry of Transport, the container throughput of Port Klang, Malaysia's largest port, increased by 4.12% year-on-year in 2024, reaching 14.64 million TEUs. In 2024, another important port in the country, Tanjung Pelepas Port, achieved a record high annual container throughput of over 12.25 million TEUs. Malaysia's Minister of Transport, Lu Zhaofu, stated that Klang Port and Tanjung Pelepas Port continue to rank among the top 20 busiest ports in the world. The impressive achievements of the two major ports demonstrate Malaysia's enormous economic and trade growth potential, further consolidating Malaysia's position as a logistics hub in Southeast Asia and bringing more logistics development opportunities for regional and international enterprises, "said Lu Zhaofu.

Indonesia has thousands of ports, with 33 major ports forming its main shipping network. Tanjung Pelu Port, located in Jakarta, Indonesia, has become a gateway connecting East Asia with Oceania and even Europe due to its superior geographical location, and is one of the important logistics centers in Southeast Asia. As the busiest container terminal in Tanjung Pelu Port Area, Jakarta International Container Terminal's container throughput exceeded 2.2 million TEUs in 2024, exceeding expectations. In 2025, the terminal will continue to consolidate its position as an important container port in Indonesia, maintaining 24-hour uninterrupted operation.

The Southeast Asian port industry has achieved significant growth in launching new projects and increasing production capacity.
