From May 14th to 16th, during the 2026 Vietnam Automation Technology Expo, the 2nd China ASEAN (Vietnam) Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Summit Forum was grandly held in Hanoi. Leaders from Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology, National Association for Science and Technology, and Productivity Research Institute of the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with over 400 guests from various countries, attended the event together. The Vietnam Automation Association, China ASEAN Community of Shared Future Promotion Association, Global Unicorn 500 Engineering, Gree Electric Vietnam, Guangxi Artificial Intelligence Institute, Vista International Economic Think Tank, Vietnam Institute of Environment and Food Technology, Guangxi Artificial Intelligence Education Society, Hong Kong RWA Global Industry Alliance, Guangxi University for Nationalities Artificial Intelligence College, Guangxi Future Science and Technology Development Foundation, and Jinshan High tech Group, among other institutions and enterprises, jointly released the "China Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Automation Cooperation Initiative (Hanoi Consensus)".

The Hanoi Consensus, as a guiding document in the field of artificial intelligence and automation between China and Vietnam, clarifies the deepening of practical cooperation in areas such as joint research and development of large models, collaboration of computing power resources, and mutual recognition of industry standards. It marks a new stage of institutionalized, normalized, and tangible co construction in China Vietnam scientific and technological innovation cooperation, moving away from routine exchanges and docking.

The Hanoi Consensus aims to implement the spirit of the Joint Statement released after the meeting between the heads of state of Vietnam and China in April 2026, jointly promote the construction of the artificial intelligence industry ecosystem, jointly build a digital economy cooperation zone, and promote mutual recognition of intelligent manufacturing standards. China and Vietnam jointly initiated the initiative to build a more resilient regional digital industry chain. Based on the five core consensuses of jointly building an AI industry ecosystem, creating a digital economy cooperation zone, mutual recognition of intelligent manufacturing standards, joint research and development and open source of technology, and talent and data security, a normalized docking mechanism is established. Regular AI and automation cooperation forums (conferences) are held in Hanoi and Nanning, with a focus on AI application training; Emphasis should be placed on promoting the implementation of cooperative projects, comprehensively promoting pragmatic cooperation between China and Vietnam in areas such as model research and development, computing power collaboration, and industry docking, and building a platform for Chinese and Vietnamese technology brand enterprises, universities, and research institutions to travel in both directions.

The forum innovatively proposes a full chain collaboration model of "China North, Shanghai and Guangzhou R&D+Guangxi integration+Vietnam application", focusing on key tracks such as smart agriculture, ecological protection, green energy, intelligent manufacturing, smart energy storage, and digital cultural tourism, breaking down barriers to cross-border technology transfer and industrial docking, accelerating the landing of artificial intelligence scenarios and the coordinated development of the industrial chain.

During the event, the Vietnam Operations Center of the Global Unicorn 500 was officially unveiled and launched, and various cooperation agreements were signed between China and Vietnam; Simultaneously propose the establishment of the "Vietnam China Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Alliance", plan the layout of the "Two Countries, Two Parks" science and technology innovation industrial park, plan to set up the "Vietnam China Science and Technology Venture Capital Fund and Artificial Intelligence Application Training Center", and build an integrated support system of park+fund+talent+practical training.

The conference also held a special seminar on Gree's focus on green technology, AI empowerment of low-carbon environmental protection, green technology, and digital economy, as well as an entrepreneur exchange meeting. Representatives from Gree Vietnam, Dongxin International Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuchai, Hong Kong Shadow Dynamics Limited, Shanghai Zhiyuan Robotics, Shandong Baiyoubai Biomedical Technology, Guangxi Sanxuan Artificial Intelligence Technology, and experts and scholars from both countries had in-depth exchanges and interactions, showcasing the fruitful achievements of AI empowerment in the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.keywords:Southeast Asia engineering information network
