On June 25, 2025, PowerChina signed a contract for the 100 MW photovoltaic operation and maintenance project in Kebwe, Zambia, with Zambia Kariba North Shore Expansion Power Generation Company, which is the second contract after the successful implementation of the EPC project of the project. This milestone cooperation marks the official landing of PowerChina's first large-scale PV O&M project in the sub-Saharan African market, opening a new chapter in overseas new energy O&M services.

The photovoltaic power plant is located in the core area of the Central Province of Zambia, with an installed capacity of 100 MW, which is the largest single photovoltaic project in Zambia at present. PowerChina will be fully responsible for the whole process operation and maintenance management of the photovoltaic area of the power station, covering intelligent inspection, power generation efficiency improvement, cleaning and maintenance of photovoltaic modules, intelligent fault diagnosis, full-scene safety control, and localized operation and maintenance talent cultivation, with an operation and maintenance service cycle of five years. The project deeply implements the full life cycle service model of "construction + operation and maintenance", and helps Zambia's energy structure optimization and upgrading with systematic solutions.

The signing of the operation and maintenance project will provide full-cycle professional technical support for the Kebwe photovoltaic power station, and further consolidate PowerChina's dominant position in the Zambian new energy market.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
