Recently, Shandong Expressway Group successfully won the bid for the Malaysia Smart Warehouse General Contracting Project and signed a framework contract for the Nilai Smart City Construction EPC General Contracting Project with the Malaysian side, achieving significant progress in the Malaysian market.

The Malaysia Smart Warehousing Project will customize and construct smart warehouses for industry clients in Selangor, Johor, Pahang, Terengganu, and other locations, with a total of 2 million pallet spaces and a contract amount of 6 billion ringgit (approximately 10.2 billion RMB). This project will help Malaysia enhance its national warehousing capacity and industrial transformation and upgrading, and drive China's related equipment, building materials, and technology to go global.

The owner of the Nilai Smart City construction project plans to invest 7 billion US dollars (approximately 50.1 billion yuan) in the next decade, covering supporting facilities such as a manufacturing center with an annual output of 100000 new energy vehicles and components, a high-tech intelligent manufacturing center, a medical city, and a commercial center. As the EPC general contractor, Shandong Expressway Group will be responsible for the entire process of project design, procurement, and construction. The project will be promoted in seven phases, with the first phase contract amount of approximately 1.6 billion US dollars (approximately 11.45 billion yuan).

Since 2025, Shandong Expressway Group has signed contracts for overseas engineering projects worth approximately 27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 360%. Its business covers 45 countries and has been selected as one of ENR's top 250 international contractors for seven consecutive years, ranking 51st and first among local state-owned enterprises in China.
