At the recent Riyadh Future Projects Forum, Saudi Aramco released a major plan covering 85 new, expanded, and upgraded projects over the next three years, covering multiple areas such as oil and gas production, pipeline systems, and civil infrastructure. Sara Alconez, Contract Consultant at Saudi Aramco's Project Management Office, stated that these projects will form hundreds of contract packages in multiple regions of Saudi Arabia, bringing enormous opportunities for global suppliers and contractors.
According to the released information, this batch of projects includes:
20 oil and gas and petrochemical projects, covering 17 facility upgrades (sulfur-containing recovery, gas field compression, and refining units), as well as two key petrochemical projects - the Sasref+project located under the Liquid Conversion Chemicals Program and a new integrated refining and petrochemical complex;

6 offshore platform expansion and upgrade projects;
12 pipeline projects, mainly including mainline renewal, streamline renovation, and onshore transportation capacity enhancement;
53 civil infrastructure, marine engineering, and related business line projects, including new public systems, residential facilities, and other development projects.
To ensure the progress of the project, Saudi Aramco will initiate large-scale material and engineering procurement, including 21000 kilometers of carbon steel pipes, 2.2 million tons of structural steel, 41000 kilometers of cables, 1700 kilometers of transmission lines, 6000 transformers, 24000 switchgear, 113 million cubic meters of filling and compaction engineering, and 3.3 million cubic meters of concrete.
We are continuously investing in the fields of new energy and digital innovation, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence technology, to drive long-term growth through economies of scale and technological innovation, "said Amin Nasser, President and CEO of the company

The core projects currently disclosed include:
Expansion of oil and gas production capacity: Developing giant oil and gas fields in places such as Jubail and Yanbu, building new offshore platforms and compression systems, and increasing natural gas production capacity;
Refining and Chemical Integration: Promote the Sasref+project to achieve direct conversion of crude oil into chemicals, and establish a comprehensive refining base to produce high value-added chemical products;
Low carbon transformation: supporting the construction of blue hydrogen/blue ammonia production facilities and carbon capture systems, and developing renewable energy projects such as solar and wind energy;
Infrastructure upgrade: renovation and construction of over 20000 kilometers of oil and gas pipelines, construction of port terminals, storage tank areas, and modern logistics networks.
The massive project cluster released by Saudi Aramco this time will not only greatly promote Saudi Arabia's oil and gas production capacity and energy transformation process, but also open up billions of market cooperation space for global engineering, equipment, and technical service enterprises. With the gradual launch of procurement and bidding, international partners will deeply participate in this series of strategically significant energy and infrastructure projects, jointly shaping the new energy and industrial landscape of Saudi Arabia and even the Middle East region in the future.
