Two highly anticipated highway projects in Jiangxi Province - Shangrao Yingtan Expressway and Pengze Dongxiang Expressway - have recently made significant progress. Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. has officially been confirmed as the project investor, marking the transition of the project from the planning stage to the substantive construction stage. It is expected to start construction in 2025 and be completed and opened to traffic in 2028.

Project positioning: Operating highway, self built and operated for 30 years

Both highways are provincial key projects and have been designated as operational highways. This means that Jiangxi Provincial Communications Investment Group will be responsible for the investment, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the project, and will be responsible for its own profits and losses during the operating period. According to the plan, the basic toll period of the project is 30 years (360 months), and after the expiration, an extension of 6 years and 6 months can be applied for. After the operation period ends, the highway will be handed over to the government for management.

Project Overview: Over 350 kilometers in total length, constructing a regional transportation artery

This project consists of two sub projects, with a total length of approximately 358.3 kilometers. It is an important transportation infrastructure connecting the northeastern and central regions of Jiangxi

Shangrao to Yingtan Expressway: The starting point is located at the border of Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, with a total length of about 167.3 kilometers;

Pengze Dongxiang Expressway: The total length of the line is about 191 kilometers.

The landing of two highways will not only connect the transportation network from northeast Jiangxi to central Jiangxi, effectively promote regional economic coordinated development, but also mark a key step for Jiangxi Province in the market-oriented investment, construction, and operation integration model of major transportation infrastructure.
