On September 23rd, the 17th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, and Mining Machinery Exhibition (BICES 2025) with the theme of "High end Green, Smart Future" opened at the Shunyi Hall of the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. The Cummins B7-P1 excavator hybrid power system exhibited this time is an efficient power system developed specifically for 40 ton excavators. It is based on the mature and reliable Cummins B-series platform and integrated with an efficient electric motor. While significantly improving the torque response speed of the power chain, it expands the excavator tonnage matched with the traditional B7 engine from 30 ton to 40 ton, and further improves the fuel economy of the excavator. The Cummins B7-P1 hybrid power system combines excellent green environmental protection, high efficiency and energy saving characteristics, which can meet the forward-looking needs of excavator power systems and has a broader application prospect.
