Recently, a key railway project with a total investment of 46.48 billion yuan officially released a new round of bidding announcement, marking a crucial step from the early preparation stage to the substantive construction stage of the project. This bidding covers core aspects such as the main construction of the railway line, station building construction, track laying, and supporting communication signal systems. The bidding information has been made public to the society through the national public resource trading platform, attracting multiple enterprises with special qualifications for railway engineering to participate in the bidding.
According to the person in charge of the project, the railway line has a total length of over 200 kilometers, connecting 3 prefecture level cities and 5 county-level economic circles. The designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour, and after completion, it will achieve 1-hour commuting to major cities in the region and seamlessly connect with the national high-speed railway network. This bidding strictly follows the principles of "openness, fairness, and impartiality". Subsequently, multiple rounds of screening such as qualification review, technical scheme evaluation, and price comparison will be conducted to determine the winning bidder for each section. It is expected that the first batch of engineering construction will be launched in the third quarter of this year.
As a key infrastructure project in the local "14th Five Year Plan", the construction of this railway will not only improve the regional comprehensive transportation system, but also drive the development of logistics, tourism and other industries along the line. It is expected to directly create over 8000 job opportunities, which is of great significance for promoting coordinated regional economic development. At present, the geological survey and environmental impact assessment approval work in the early stage of the project have been completed, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of subsequent construction.

From the perspective of industry impact, this bidding also injects new vitality into the railway construction industry chain. The winning bidder will simultaneously initiate the procurement of raw materials, the formation of construction teams, and the allocation of large-scale equipment, which will directly drive the demand for upstream and downstream industries such as steel, cement, and engineering machinery, and is expected to drive the output value of related industrial chains to exceed 12 billion yuan. Taking the track laying section as an example, this alone requires the purchase of approximately 450 kilometers of steel rails and over 280000 sleepers, which will bring stable orders to multiple building materials companies.
In terms of technical standards, the project explicitly requires key projects to adopt green construction technology. For example, the construction of the station building will incorporate photovoltaic curtain wall design, with an estimated annual power generation of 800000 kilowatt hours, meeting 30% of the daily electricity demand of the station building; Intelligent track laying machines and unmanned compaction equipment will be used in line construction to improve construction efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. At the same time, for the wetland conservation areas along the way, the bidding documents emphasize ecological protection measures and require construction units to develop vegetation restoration plans in advance to ensure that the project construction and ecological protection are promoted synchronously.

Regarding the construction period and travel convenience issues that are of public concern, the project party revealed that the project will be constructed in three sections simultaneously, with a plan to achieve full line connectivity by the end of 2027. During the construction period, the construction unit will set up temporary passages to ensure the travel of residents along the line, and regularly release construction progress and traffic guidance information through official platforms. After the completion of the project, not only will the commuting time between cities in the region be significantly reduced, but three county-level high-speed railway stations will also be added, allowing residents in the counties along the line to take the high-speed railway at their doorstep, further promoting the integrated development of urban and rural transportation.Editor/Bian Wenjun
