November 6, 2025 – At the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the ENERGY CHINA delegation held a centralized signing ceremony in Shanghai. The total contracted value reached a record-breaking $1.828 billion, the highest in the group's eight-year participation history. This milestone underscores ENERGY CHINA's robust resource integration capabilities within the global energy and power sector and its steadfast commitment to deepening international cooperation.

As one of the world's largest enterprises in the energy, power, water conservancy, and infrastructure construction sectors, ENERGY CHINA has actively organized its subsidiaries to participate in the CIIE since its inception. Over the past eight years, the group has fully leveraged the CIIE's unique global platform to continuously deepen collaborative partnerships in the industrial and supply chains with global partners, sharing the opportunities presented by the Chinese market and its development. To date, ENERGY CHINA's cumulative contracted value at the CIIE has surged to an impressive $11.959 billion, yielding substantial results.

During the centralized signing ceremony, ENERGY CHINA's affiliated enterprises signed a series of significant equipment procurement agreements with several renowned international companies. Partners included Hitachi Energy of Japan, Hyosung Group of South Korea, and PSA International of Singapore. Particularly noteworthy are the purchases of advanced equipment such as wind turbines and photovoltaic modules from Siemens Energy of Germany. This equipment will be directly deployed in landmark new energy projects undertaken by ENERGY CHINA in Saudi Arabia.

These projects include the Saudi Shaqura 1 GW Wind Power Project, the Sudair 2 GW Wind Power Project, and the Al Faisaliah 2 GW Solar PV Project. Notably, upon completion, the Sudair 2 GW Wind Power Project is set to become the world's largest onshore wind farm, serving as a exemplary model of Chinese advanced engineering technology partnering with world-class equipment to support global carbon neutrality goals.

Yin Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of ENERGY CHINA, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the CIIE, as the world's first national-level exhibition themed on import, has become a window for China to build a new development paradigm, a platform for promoting high-level opening-up, and a global public good shared by all. ENERGY CHINA will continue to utilize this platform to further integrate into the global industrial chain and jointly pursue green development with partners worldwide.

This large-scale procurement not only meets the direct needs of ENERGY CHINA's major overseas project construction, ensuring stable and efficient supply chain operations, but also enhances its own design and construction capabilities through the introduction of international advanced equipment and technology. This creates a virtuous cycle of "promoting construction through cooperation and fostering development through construction." This initiative powerfully drives the deep integration of Chinese technology and standards with global high-quality resources, contributing "ENERGY CHINA Strength" and the "Chinese Solution" to the global energy transition.Editor/Cheng Liting
