Recently, the bidding results for the procurement of wind turbines for the 150MW wind power project in Bagonegros, Philippines, by China Power Construction Nuclear Power Corporation were officially announced. Far East Energy has successfully won the bid and will provide it with onshore wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.XMW. The implementation of this important project marks the recognition of China's wind power equipment in the international clean energy market, and shows the market competitiveness and influence of China's new energy enterprises in the countries along the "the Belt and Road".

The project is located on Negros Island in the Philippines, with a total installed capacity of 150MW, and is one of the key projects promoting clean energy transformation in the Philippines in recent years. As one of the fastest growing energy demand countries in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is actively promoting the development of renewable energy and plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy in the energy structure to 35% by 2030. The promotion of the Bagonegros wind power project will effectively help the Philippines achieve this clean energy goal.

The 6.XMW onshore wind turbine used in the project is a mainstream high-power model in the current international onshore wind power market, representing the advanced level of wind power technology development. High power units can not only effectively improve land use efficiency and reduce project land costs, but also significantly enhance the economic viability of the entire project lifecycle through higher power generation efficiency and lower operation and maintenance costs. Especially in tropical regions such as Negros Island, the crew also needs to adapt to specific climate conditions and environmental requirements, which puts higher standards on equipment performance and reliability.

The successful bidding of this project is a successful example of China Power Construction and Far East Energy and other domestic enterprises collaborating to go global. China Power Construction Corporation has rich project experience and execution capabilities in the field of overseas power engineering, while Far East Energy, as a leading global new energy technology enterprise, has significant advantages in wind turbine research and development, manufacturing, and smart wind farm solutions. This collaborative model of industrial chain going global is becoming a typical path for Chinese new energy enterprises to explore international markets.

With the acceleration of the global energy transition process, China's wind power industry is demonstrating increasingly strong competitiveness in the international market with mature technology, a complete industrial chain, and competitive cost advantages. From Asia to Africa, from the Americas to Europe, the projects in which Chinese wind power companies participate not only bring clean energy to the region, but also promote the popularization and development of renewable energy technologies worldwide. The implementation of this project will set a new benchmark for China Philippines cooperation in the field of clean energy and lay a solid foundation for the development of more new energy projects in the future. At the same time, this will further enhance the visibility and influence of Chinese wind power brands in the international market, creating more opportunities for China's new energy equipment manufacturing industry to continue exploring overseas markets.Editor/Cheng Liting
