Recently, the first China Egypt Investment Forum was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. This forum is jointly hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, the Egyptian Investment and Free Zone Authority, and the Egyptian Entrepreneurs Association, attracting more than 200 Chinese and Egyptian enterprises to participate. The aim is to build an efficient and pragmatic investment docking platform and jointly explore new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan Khatib emphasized in his speech at the forum that Egypt is committed to expanding cooperation between the two countries in the fields of investment and trade. He said, "We will actively attract more Chinese companies to invest in Egypt, expand joint production and export bases, establish more balanced trade and investment relationships, in order to support the development of Egypt's local manufacturing industry and enhance product added value

Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations of China, pointed out in his speech that China has maintained its position as Egypt's largest trading partner for 13 consecutive years. He specifically mentioned that the China Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, as an important platform for cooperation between the two countries, has attracted nearly 200 enterprises to settle in. The Chinese side looks forward to always being an important partner on the development path with the Egyptian side, uniting and cooperating, seeking common development, jointly promoting the sustained and healthy development of China Egypt investment cooperation, and better benefiting the people of both countries

Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang stated that China is currently one of the most active and fastest-growing countries investing in Egypt. He pointed out: "Today, more than 100 Chinese entrepreneurs came to Egypt, bringing cutting-edge technology, advanced manufacturing capacity and sincere willingness to cooperate. At the same time, we also welcome more Egyptian enterprises to China to look for development opportunities." Key words: the latest information of the the Belt and Road, key projects of the the Belt and RoadDuring the forum, the Egyptian side provided a detailed introduction to the latest investment policies and business environment, and successfully held three specialized sub forums on textile and clothing, electromechanical new energy, and digital economy.

 As an important achievement of the forum, both sides also held the first meeting of the China Egypt Investment Working Group and the intergovernmental coordination committee meeting of the Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, laying a solid foundation for deepening bilateral investment cooperation in 2025.
