With the tide of global energy transformation and the "the Belt and Road" initiative, China's green technology is moving towards the world at an unprecedented speed and depth. Recently, two photovoltaic projects led by Chinese companies, from Batangas Province in the Philippines to Sierra Leone in West Africa, have achieved key breakthroughs. Not only have they outlined a new picture of China's international cooperation in new energy with solid orders and contracts, but they have also announced to the world with cutting-edge technology and full chain service capabilities that China is playing an increasingly important role in promoting the development of global clean energy.
Recently, there have been frequent overseas good news in China's new energy sector, with significant breakthroughs achieved in project design and core equipment supply, demonstrating the full industry chain advantages of China's photovoltaic industry from technology, products to engineering services.

In terms of project design and market development, Three Gorges Shanghai Institute has successfully signed a contract for the Taisan Photovoltaic Project in the Philippines, marking its "zero breakthrough" in the Philippine market. The project is located in Taisan City, Batangas Province, Philippines, with a planned construction scale of 60.06 MW on the DC side and 49.92 MW on the AC side. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026. This achievement stems from Shanghai Institute's continuous deep cultivation of the Southeast Asian regional market. By independently developing the market, providing advanced services to investment entities, and offering professional technical support to EPC contractors, Shanghai Institute has successfully expanded its international new energy project portfolio outside the group. Looking ahead to the future, Shanghai Institute stated that it will continue to strengthen its technical team, promote projects with high standards and quality, and ensure that they are completed on schedule and achieve benefits.
In terms of exporting cutting-edge technology products, Shanghai Hengxi Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully signed a supply contract for 33.07 MW peak photovoltaic modules in Waterloo, Sierra Leone with French developer InnoVent Co., Ltd. What is particularly noteworthy is that the project will all use the 210R-132 heterojunction high-efficiency components independently developed by Shanghai Electric. This cooperation is not only the first centralized photovoltaic project order obtained by Shanghai Hengxi in overseas markets, but also an important milestone for its advanced heterojunction technology to enter the international stage, clearly demonstrating the firm steps taken by Shanghai Electric Photovoltaic Industry in exploring overseas markets. Keywords: the Belt and Road, the Belt and Road project news

From the vast fields of the Philippines to the land of Sierra Leone, the landing of Chinese photovoltaic projects and the output of efficient modules have far exceeded the scope of simple commercial cooperation. They are a vivid display of China's "green business card" on the international stage, and a powerful proof of the resonance between "Chinese intelligent manufacturing" and global energy demand. As these projects are connected to the grid for power generation in the future, they will not only bring clean electricity to the local area, but also sow the seeds of sustainable development.Editor/Cheng Liting
