In the context of global efforts to address climate change and accelerate energy structure transformation, deepening international cooperation has become a key engine for promoting the development of green energy. Recently, a high-level meeting bringing together global energy giants and industry leaders added a bold touch to this green picture, highlighting the enormous potential of cross-border cooperation in driving the future of clean energy.

Recently, China Electric Power Construction Corporation (referred to as PowerChina), along with French Engie Group and Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Longi Green Energy), successfully held a trilateral high-level meeting at PowerChina headquarters, and held a grand signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement of the PV4 Hazna 1500 MW photovoltaic project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This meeting is not only a milestone in the tripartite cooperation, but also a strategic initiative to gather top global forces and jointly target the future energy market.

During the meeting, Chen Guanfu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of China Power Construction Corporation, first reviewed the solid foundation of cooperation with all parties involved. He pointed out that Engie Group is one of China Power Construction's most important major clients worldwide, and the two sides have established a deep friendship and mutual trust through successful cooperation on multiple major projects. Meanwhile, as the founding units of INES (International New Energy Solutions Platform), China Electric Power Construction and Longi Green Energy have maintained close cooperation in the field of new energy. Chen Guanfu stated that PowerChina is willing to take this meeting as an opportunity to further deepen its strategic cooperation with both parties, jointly promote more influential and forward-looking projects, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the three parties to the global energy transformation.

Engie Group CEO Katherine McGregor strongly agrees with this. She emphasized that Engie Group will firmly adhere to its current strategic development direction and regard China Power Construction and Longi Green Energy as the core of building a long-term partnership. In the future, the group hopes to focus on specific key regions and industries, deeply bind with two companies, and work together to inject new and stronger momentum into the optimization and upgrading of the global energy structure.

Longi Green Energy Chairman Zhong Baoshen looked forward to the future cooperation model in his speech. He looks forward to establishing a more long-term and stable strategic partnership with China Power Construction and Engie Group on the basis of existing good cooperation. Zhong Baoshen pointed out that the advantages of the three parties are highly complementary - Engie Group has a global project development network and experience, Longi Green Energy continues to lead the innovation forefront of photovoltaic technology, and China Power Construction has world-class engineering implementation and full industry chain integration capabilities. Through a strong alliance, we will be able to efficiently promote the construction of key projects, including the PV4 project, expand cooperation achievements, and jointly lead the trend of global clean energy industry transformation.

The core outcome of this meeting was the formal signing of the cooperation agreement for the PV4 Hazna 1500 MW photovoltaic project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This project is not only a key component of the UAE's "2050 Energy Strategy", but also one of the highly anticipated giant photovoltaic power plants worldwide. Its successful signing marks a new stage of tripartite cooperation from general exchanges to substantive co construction of large-scale benchmark projects, with a strong industry demonstration effect.

This collaboration is not accidental. In the competition of global energy transformation, a single equipment manufacturer, developer, or engineering contractor is facing increasing risks and challenges in the complex international market alone. The triangular alliance of China Power Construction (representing EPC and integrated investment, construction, and operation capabilities), Engie Group (representing global project development and operation capabilities), and Longi Green Energy (representing cutting-edge technology and product supply capabilities) precisely represents the most favored cooperation paradigm at present: by integrating the top resources of the entire chain of "development technology construction", risk sharing and complementary advantages can be achieved, thus seizing the high ground in the increasingly fierce global competition for new energy. The successful holding of the trilateral high-level talks and the implementation of the heavyweight agreement not only injected strong impetus into the development of green energy in the UAE and even the Middle East, but also set an excellent example for international cooperation in the global energy field. It clearly indicates that facing common challenges and opportunities, cross-border and cultural business cooperation is the only way to a greener and more sustainable future.Editor/Cheng Liting
