[Winning the bid for the renovation and expansion project of Jiliao Expressway] Recently, the bidding results for the preliminary work of the Jinan Liaocheng Expressway renovation and expansion project, a key transportation infrastructure project in Shandong Province, were officially announced. A consortium composed of Shandong Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and other enterprises, with professional technical strength, rich experience in high-speed renovation and expansion, and reasonable planning, successfully won the core sections of the project's survey, design, supervision, etc., marking the substantial progress stage of this traffic artery upgrade project with a total investment of 13.284 billion yuan. As an important passage connecting Jinan and Liaocheng, the Jinan Liaocheng Expressway is also a key component of Shandong Province's "Nine Verticals, Five Horizontals, One Ring, Seven Shoots and Multiple Connections" expressway network. The project starts in Huaiyin District, Jinan City and ends in Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City, with a total length of about 92.7 kilometers. Currently, it is a two-way four lane expressway. With the development of regional economy and society and the continuous growth of traffic flow, the existing traffic capacity is difficult to meet the demand. This renovation and expansion project is upgraded according to the standards of a two-way eight lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 42 meters.
