French photovoltaic manufacturer HoloSolis recently announced the completion of over 220 million euros in financing and will officially launch the construction of a photovoltaic super factory located in Sarreguemines Hambach, eastern France. The project plans to produce 5GW of photovoltaic cells and modules annually, and is expected to be fully operational by 2030. At that time, it will become one of the largest photovoltaic manufacturing bases in Europe, which is a milestone for the development of the new energy industry in Europe.

Project Planning and Regional Impact
According to the company's announced plan, once completed, this super factory will produce enough photovoltaic modules to power approximately one million European households annually. The project is located in the Hambach Industrial Zone of the Grand Est region in France, benefiting from well-developed infrastructure and geographical advantages adjacent to the German border, which will effectively radiate to the entire European market. Of particular note is that the project will directly create 2000 job opportunities, which has significant implications for promoting the recovery of France's domestic manufacturing industry and regional economic development. The investors include leading institutions such as Cal é s Technologie and Forming AG, as well as long-term strategic investors such as InnoEnergy and TSE.
Technical Cooperation and Capacity Building
In terms of technology roadmap, HoloSolis has been officially authorized by Trina Solar to adopt its advanced TOPCon battery technology in the new factory. This marks the first large-scale production of mainstream high-efficiency photovoltaic cell technology in Europe, which will significantly enhance Europe's technological level in the field of photovoltaic manufacturing. The company stated that this round of financing will mainly be used for key links such as factory design optimization, technology introduction, core team building, and supply chain construction, in order to fully prepare for the engineering implementation and mass production of the project. At present, the construction of the factory has entered the substantive promotion stage.

Strategic positioning and market prospects
HoloSolis' vision is not limited to component manufacturing, but is committed to building a complete "Made in Europe" photovoltaic industry ecosystem, connecting the entire industry chain of batteries, components, packaging, and system integration. This strategic positioning is highly aligned with the goal of the EU's Net Zero Industry Act, which requires that by 2030, at least 40% of the installed photovoltaic systems in Europe be domestically produced. HoloSolis CEO Bertrand Lecacheux revealed that the company has received a total of over 20GW of customer procurement intentions, fully reflecting the high recognition of the market for European domestic manufacturing solutions. InnoEnergy France CEO Karine Vernier stated that this project is an important milestone in achieving independent and controllable control of the European photovoltaic industry.
