In the context of the continuous deepening of the the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese enterprises have made further progress in the field of infrastructure construction in Africa. China Geological Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and Mozambique Water Management Bureau have officially signed a cooperation agreement for the water supply project in Mulotana District, Maputo Province, marking a new breakthrough in cooperation between China and Mozambique in the field of livelihood infrastructure. At the same time, China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. has achieved multi-point development in the West African market, winning consecutive bids for projects in Ghana, Guinea, and Benin, demonstrating the comprehensive strength and market influence of China's infrastructure in the West African region.

Livelihood projects alleviate water scarcity and support regional development in Mozambique

The contract amount for the Mulotana District water supply project has reached 2.6748 million US dollars, which will completely change the dilemma of no water supply pipelines in the local area. The project plans to lay a 12 kilometer main water supply line, construct pump stations and a 30 kilometer secondary water supply network. After completion, the daily water supply capacity can reach 3600-7200 cubic meters, fully covering the domestic water needs of more than 50000 households. The project not only ends the local history of relying on water tankers to deliver water, but also lays a solid foundation for the development of the logistics industry in the region. It has become a vivid practice of the the Belt and Road Initiative and Mozambique's national development planning.

Port construction blooms in multiple areas, consolidating the leading position in the West African market

China Harbour has connected three infrastructure projects in the West African market: the Ghana Grocery and Salt Terminal project will build a new 20000 ton terminal and supporting facilities; Guinea Aluminum Industry Development Project carries out maintenance dredging of harbor and waterway; New road expansion and substation construction for the Benin parking lot project. The successful implementation of these three projects is an important achievement of China Harbour West Africa Regional Management Center's practice of three strategies and one country, one policy management strategy, further consolidating its leading advantage in the West African infrastructure market.
