Recently, Yunnan Construction Investment Group, with its technical accumulation and project experience in the field of water conservancy engineering, successfully won the bid for the construction project of the large-scale irrigation area in Lujiangba, Baoshan City, with a total investment of 3.066 billion yuan. As a key project in the national "14th Five Year Plan" for water security, this project is a core support project for the development of livelihood water conservancy and agriculture in western Yunnan.

The project spans 14 townships in Longyang District, Shidian County, and Longling County of Baoshan City, and is positioned as a Class II large-scale (2) water conservancy project. The core construction content includes 20 water source projects, 17 water intake dams, and a total length of 282.78 kilometers of irrigation and drainage channels (pipes), supporting 367800 acres of high-efficiency water-saving irrigation projects in the fields. After completion, the annual comprehensive water supply will reach 232 million cubic meters, which can stably guarantee the irrigation of 634700 acres of farmland, meet the domestic and regional industrial water needs of 442500 people, enhance the regional flood control and drought resistance capabilities, optimize the allocation of water resources in dry and hot river valleys, and inject water conservancy power into the revitalization of rural areas and the construction of ecological security barriers in western Yunnan.

To ensure the high-quality progress of the project, Yunnan Construction Investment has established a special technical team to optimize the construction plan based on the terrain characteristics of the dry and hot valley in Lujiangba. Advanced technologies such as channel lining and intelligent irrigation monitoring are adopted to balance engineering quality and construction efficiency. Strictly implement ecological protection requirements during the construction process, avoid ecologically sensitive areas, and simultaneously promote vegetation restoration and soil and water conservation projects around the irrigation area to achieve coordinated development of water conservancy construction and ecological protection.

The project is expected to last for 52 months. At the same time, the irrigation and drainage system built to support the construction of the project will promote the optimization of regional agricultural planting structure, assist in the large-scale planting of characteristic economic crops, and provide solid support for the modernization transformation of agriculture in western Yunnan.
