Dual technology fusion of perovskite and heterojunction breaks through space energy

Currently, the global commercial aerospace industry is experiencing explosive growth, and the technological transformation of space energy has become the core engine driving industrial upgrading. The power demand of a single satellite has achieved a leap in magnitude, soaring from hundreds of watts of traditional satellites to tens or even hundreds of kilowatts. The total power of constellation clusters is also moving towards the GW level. This is not only a new opportunity for industrial development, but also an energy competition related to the dimension of human civilization. The number and deployment speed of satellite launches are directly related to the national space strategic advantage and commercial dominance, which has also given rise to an urgent demand in the satellite market for high cost-effectiveness, high reliability, and lightweight space solar energy systems.

Compared with the problems of high cost, insufficient lightweighting, and difficult mass production of gallium arsenide batteries, the low loss transmission characteristics of heterojunction batteries can enhance system stability. At the same time, perovskite has advantages such as lightweight, high efficiency, and strong radiation resistance, which can effectively improve energy density. Therefore, the stacking technology of perovskite and heterojunction is regarded as the core direction of the next generation of space energy.

Strong empowerment of the entire chain layout, jointly building a new ecosystem of space energy

As a leading enterprise in new energy, Risen has accumulated deep industrialization experience in the field of p-type heterojunction battery technology based on years of technological breakthroughs and mass production practice. The independently developed 50 μ m ultra-thin p-type HJT battery, with its excellent performance of lightweight and strong radiation resistance, as well as high adaptability to flexible solar wings, has built a differentiated competitive barrier in the commercial aerospace field and has achieved small batch and multi batch delivery. With this breakthrough, the company has successfully consolidated its leading advantage in the ultra-thin HJT space battery track, empowering high-quality development of commercial aerospace with photovoltaic hard core technology.

Geoharbor's two subsidiaries each showcase their strengths: Jiangyin Jinghao leads the research and development of perovskite photovoltaic flexible modules and in orbit verification, while Fuxi Xinkong specializes in the research and development of lightweight, low-cost, and high-efficiency space energy systems and services. The company has ensured the successful launch of 19 satellites, with over 52 sets of power systems, solar panels, and structural mechanisms operating stably in orbit. It holds 19 core patents related to energy systems and has customers covering more than 20 satellite units. Its perovskite solar cells have been validated in orbit by the Tianyan 24 satellite, with stable operation and excellent adaptability to the space environment.

This cooperation focuses on three core goals: at the level of technological research and development, both parties will focus on the core challenges of perovskite and p-type heterojunction space level stacking technology, jointly carry out technological breakthroughs, and jointly explore innovative paths to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency and space environment adaptability of stacked solar cells, ensuring that the battery can operate stably for more than 7 years under extreme space conditions such as ultraviolet irradiation, particle irradiation, and high and low temperature alternation, and accelerating the mature application of this technology in space energy scenarios; At the level of industrial collaboration, we will fully leverage our complementary advantages in technology and resources, work together to promote the industrialization and commercialization of stacked technology, expand the diversified application scenarios of space energy, and build a mutually beneficial and win-win ecosystem for the space energy industry; At the level of market expansion, both sides will actively respond to the national strategy of building a strong aerospace country, seize the strategic opportunities of global commercial aerospace development, work together to explore domestic and international aerospace energy markets, and jointly build a prosperous industrial ecosystem.
