On January 20th, Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhiguang Electric") officially signed a supply and service agreement with Malaysia's OpenRE Sdn Bhd company. Zhiguang Electric will supply 150 ZHIGUANG brand European standard certified all liquid cooled integrated machines to the Malaysian market. The products are planned to be delivered and put into operation within 2026.

This cooperation is another important progress in Zhiguang Electric's international strategic layout, marking the company's official entry into the huge potential Southeast Asian energy storage market after successfully expanding into the European and African markets.

Malaysia is currently in a critical stage of energy transition. According to the energy transition roadmap, Malaysia plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and the proportion of renewable energy in the total energy structure will increase to 70%. Currently, the demand for multi scenario energy storage applications such as industrial and commercial energy storage, photovoltaic microgrids, and grid side in Malaysia is increasing, and the potential of the new energy storage market is enormous.

OpenRE, as a leading local enterprise in Malaysia focusing on "optical storage+AI" technology, has successfully implemented multiple industrial and commercial optical storage projects and has a deep understanding of the local market. Its local experience will provide strong support for the promotion of Zhiguang Electric products in Malaysia. Zhiguang Electric has full stack core technologies in the energy storage field, including PCS, BMS, EMS, etc., in addition to battery cells, effectively helping Southeast Asia's energy transformation and upgrading.

After Greece signed a supply contract for 100 similar equipment, Zhiguang Electric will expand its international business in Malaysia.
