A steel artery connecting the mountains and waters of central Zhejiang with the ancient Huizhou style is quietly undergoing its final "physical examination" before opening. From January 27th to 29th, 2026, the Lanxi East to Jiande section of the Jin Jian High speed Railway successfully passed the preliminary acceptance organized by China Railway Group in Hangzhou, marking that this highly anticipated tourism golden line has the key conditions for opening and operation, and taking a solid step towards the official passenger operation in the first quarter of 2026.

Successfully passed the 'National Examination' and completed key milestones before opening

Preliminary acceptance is the most important and comprehensive review process for new railway projects before opening. This acceptance is led by China Railway Group, together with the governments of Zhejiang Province and cities along the line, Shanghai Bureau Group, construction units, design, construction, supervision and other units, forming a high-level acceptance committee. The committee conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the construction quality and initial operational readiness of the project over a period of two days, including listening to reports, conducting on-site inspections of key construction sites such as the Tea Ping Tunnel, Dayang Station, and Lanxi East Station, as well as systematically verifying internal data. Finally, the preliminary acceptance committee exchanged opinions, and all relevant units clarified their responsibilities for subsequent rectification, laying a solid foundation for ensuring subsequent safety assessments and timely opening.

The project is steadily advancing, with clear milestones in the construction process

The total length of the Lanxi East to Jiande section of the Jin Jian high-speed railway is about 43 kilometers, with a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It will start construction in May 2022. The project has steadily progressed through key milestones: the tunnel was completed in March 2025, and the entire line of beams was erected in July 2025. Afterwards, the project started static acceptance in September 2025, entered the joint debugging and testing phase on November 19th, and began trial operation on December 26th. The passing of this preliminary acceptance marks that the construction work of this section of the project has been basically completed, and it has officially entered the preparation period for operation.

Building a golden channel, connecting famous mountains and rivers to promote development

Jinjian High speed Railway is an important part of the Mount Huangshan Jinhua railway corridor.
