According to the Daily Uzi News Network, recently, Uzbekistan's President Mirziyoyev signed a decree approving the intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of cultural centers between China and Uzbekistan, marking the completion of the approval process for the agreement signed in Beijing on September 1, 2025.
According to the presidential decree, the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture is designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing the agreement. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will soon send a formal note to the Chinese side, informing them that the domestic procedures required for the agreement to come into effect have been completed.
The initiative to establish cultural centers for each other originated from a package of cooperation agreements signed during President Mirziyoyev's state visit to China last autumn. At that time, the leaders of the two countries agreed to deeply link the strategy of Uzbekistan 2030 with the the Belt and Road initiative.
Experts believe that in the context of flourishing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, establishing cultural centers for each other will become an important measure to deepen cultural ties. In addition to promoting the country's cultural heritage, the center will also become an important platform for expanding Chinese language teaching in Ukraine.Editor/Bian Wenjun
