Saudi Arabia plans to build over 130 kilometers of sewage pipelines in northern Jeddah

Saudi Arabia's national water company NWC has awarded two sewage treatment network contracts to local contractor Civil Works Company, with a total value of $143 million.

The project will take 32 months to implement from the site handover, serving the northern region of Jeddah.

The first contract is worth 74.3 million US dollars and covers the unfinished main and secondary sewage pipelines serving parts of the Al Bashair, Al Asala, and Al Falah communities.

The scope of the project includes pipelines with diameters ranging from 200 millimeters to 800 millimeters, with a total length of approximately 54.8 kilometers.

The plan also includes sewage pipelines with diameters ranging from 600 millimeters to 1800 millimeters, with a total length of approximately 6.5 kilometers. The project will also benefit areas such as Teba, Abar Al Shamariyah, and Al Hamdaniyah.

The second contract is worth $68.8 million and covers the implementation of the main and secondary networks to serve certain areas of the Al Hamdaniya community. Keywords: sewage treatment, Middle East
