As the third generation inheritor of Hami Muqam in Xinjiang, Tursunguli Azati's life trajectory has always been intertwined with this ancient art. From planting the seeds of love in her family upbringing, to being admitted to Xinjiang Academy of Arts for systematic baptism in 2017, and now deeply cultivating at the Hami Muqam Inheritance Center, she is not only a guardian but also a disseminator.
The 2017 Henan exchange performance tour became a profound cultural breakthrough in her artistic career. This is not only a geographical leap, but also a spiritual dialogue. In the park of Luoyang, an impromptu performance by Tursunguli Azati caused the desolate yet passionate melody of Muqam to echo over the Central Plains. Stranger audiences gathered around, and at that moment, the boundaries between region and ethnicity were dissolved by the singing. Many people were filled with longing after hearing this, and immediately had the impulse to visit Hami. She also seized the opportunity to transform into a hometown promoter, depicting the magnificent mountains and rivers of Hami to the enthusiastic elders of the Central Plains.

And the rewards of this journey are two-way. When she immersed herself in the unique chamber and charm of Yu opera, she seemed to see an artistic soul growing on another land. The improvisation of Muqam and the program of Yu Opera, the vastness of the Western Regions and the heaviness of the Central Plains, meet here.
This cross regional cultural integration has made Tursunguli Azati deeply understand that the encounter of cultural treasures of various ethnic groups is not a simple physical superposition, but a resonance like a chemical reaction. This resonance narrows the distance between hearts, making the sense of community of the Chinese nation no longer an abstract concept, but a natural sense of identity and belonging flowing out in every plucking of the strings and the singing of every line of drama.Editor/Cheng Liting
