General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that we must steadfastly promote the high-quality co construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and make greater contributions to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.  

In 2025, China will continue to deepen and jointly build practical cooperation in various fields among the "the Belt and Road" countries, and continue to expand new space for high-quality and win-win development of the "the Belt and Road".  

In the first year of the "Fifteenth Five Year Plan", the cooperation in jointly building the "the Belt and Road" presented a new and vigorous atmosphere.  

Shanghai Yangshan Port welcomed the first batch of fresh fruits such as avocados and blueberries from Peru this year. Since the two-way connection of the "Qiankai Shanghai" shipping route, the throughput and export capacity have continued to increase, driving a significant increase of about 40% in Shanghai's foreign trade import and export value to Peru.  

The Central African liner, loaded with mechanical equipment, is about to depart for Ivory Coast in Africa at Yantai Port in Shandong Province. In 2025, the shipping volume of China Africa liner ships will increase by 49% year-on-year, reaching a historic high. Batch after batch of Chinese equipment and technology have injected vitality into the infrastructure construction of African countries.  

In 2025, China's import and export to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" will be 23.6 trillion yuan, up 6.3%, 2.5 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of China's foreign trade.  

The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative is a major initiative personally planned, deployed, and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping.  

During his inspection and research in China, General Secretary Xi Jinping repeatedly emphasized that all regions should deeply integrate into the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and inland provinces should better transform their unique geographical advantages into advantages of open development, promoting reform and development through openness. Border areas should expand exchanges and cooperation with neighboring countries in economy, science and technology, talents, medical care, culture, etc., so that high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" can be felt. On several important international occasions, the General Secretary made it clear that he would work with all parties to promote high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road"; Deepen the alignment of development strategies, enhance regional development momentum and improve people's well-being through consultation, co construction and sharing; Promote the development of economic globalization towards greater inclusiveness and inclusiveness.  

In 2025, under the complex situation of major challenges to the world economic and trade order, the economic and trade cooperation of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" will continue to deepen, and the world economy will move forward against the trend.  

The proportion of joint construction partners in China's overall foreign trade has further increased to 51.9% in 2025, after breaking through 50% in 2024. Jointly build the "the Belt and Road" to turn the inland region from an open "guard" to a "forward", and the development vitality of the open economy is fully unleashed.  

In Xinjiang, relying on convenient and efficient logistics channels such as the China Europe freight train, local fruit and vegetable exports have experienced explosive growth. In 2025, the cumulative export of fruits and vegetables will be 1.407 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of nearly 30%. Xinjiang's characteristic agricultural products are going to the global market through the "the Belt and Road".  

In Chongqing, the innovative "ASEAN Express" logistics model has been launched, seamlessly connecting the Western Land Sea New Corridor and the China Europe freight train, improving transportation efficiency by more than 50%, and reaching new heights in economic and trade cooperation between the western region and ASEAN and Europe.  

Starting from January 1st this year, at the Guangxi Friendship Pass border checkpoint, an important land route connecting ASEAN, registered foreign drivers and passengers can quickly clear customs by simply pressing their fingerprints.  

In 2025, we will jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality and continue to expand new space for win-win development.  

The hard connectivity of infrastructure has yielded fruitful results. The total number of China Europe freight trains has exceeded 120000, and the number of named "Silk Road Maritime" routes has increased to 148. The closely intertwined logistics network helps to smoothly promote major landmark projects.  

The rule standard "soft connectivity" is constantly deepening. China has signed 16 free trade agreements with 22 countries co constructing the "the Belt and Road", and signed memorandums of investment cooperation in digital, green, blue and other fields with more than 50 countries co constructing the "Belt and Road", making trade and investment more convenient and efficient.  

The connection between the hearts of the people and the country is becoming increasingly close. In the field of medicine, by 2025, China's exports of medical devices to co building countries will increase by 10.4%. At the same time, over 70% of China's imported Chinese medicinal materials will come from co building countries. In the field of agriculture, by 2025, China has signed more than 100 cooperation agreements on agricultural and food product access with co building countries, and the scale of agricultural product trade with co building countries has reached a historical high of 1.43 trillion yuan. Small and beautiful livelihood projects such as mushroom grass technology and hybrid rice continue to benefit more co built countries.  

The "Fifteenth Five Year Plan" proposes to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality. Strengthen the alignment with the national strategy of joint construction and enhance the overall management of cooperation planning.
