Atabayeva Mayagur from Turkmenistan is a special dreamer on the campus of Karamay Campus of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Her motherland has a deep energy bond with China, which allows her to keenly grasp the direction of the times - the broad prospects of energy cooperation between China and Turkey. With a firm belief in the future, she resolutely chose a major related to petroleum, not only to explore the black gold underground, but also to master the key to connecting the future in the wave of energy digitization.
Upon arriving in Xinjiang for the first time, Maya Gul did not feel unfamiliar. The dry climate, unique cuisine, and the warmth in people's eyes make her feel as if she is on the land of her hometown. This cross-border sense of familiarity quickly dissolved the distance of a foreign land.

The resonance of culture quietly grows in spare time. Reading 'Chinese Folk Stories', she understood the emotional code of Chinese people through the lines of reunion and concern; Picking up her paintbrush, she froze the four seasons of campus scenery on paper and recorded the vitality of this hot land with colors. For her, Xinjiang is no longer just a place for studying, but a second hometown that carries her youth and dreams.
Maya Gul's ambition goes beyond being an excellent engineer. She deeply understands that energy is the lifeblood of industry, while culture and friendship are the soul of country to country exchanges. She hopes to bring back the advanced technologies she learned in China, especially the concept of energy digitization construction, to Turkmenistan, so that technology can become an accelerator for the common development of the two countries.
In the future, she is willing to become a solid bridge: one end connected to China's wisdom and opportunities, and the other end connected to Turkmenistan's friendship and needs. At the critical juncture of energy transition, this Turkmen girl is writing a Silk Road story belonging to the new era with her youth.Editor/Cheng Liting
