In early spring, in the Hexi Corridor, wind turbine blades echo the tower crane of the Longdian project entering Zhejiang. Recently, at the first press conference of the New Year held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Gansu Province, State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company announced a power grid investment plan worth over 100 billion yuan, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Gansu Province.

Weaving dense cross regional transmission artery

During the 15th Five Year Plan period, State Grid plans to invest over 100 billion yuan in Gansu and allocate 10.465 billion yuan by 2026. We will focus on promoting the construction of ultra-high voltage channels, striving for the live commissioning of the Longdian Zhejiang Project by the end of 2026, and the approval of the Longdian Sichuan Project to start construction within the year. At the same time, we will carry out preliminary research on the Kumutage and Badain Jaran two loop channels.

At the same time, the 750 kV North Passage and Southern Power Grid Main Grid Reinforcement Project of the Hexi Corridor will be implemented step by step, achieving full coverage of large-scale energy bases and load centers in the province through substation deployment. By 2030, the cross provincial and cross regional transmission capacity of Gansu will reach 80 million kilowatts, forming a "four out" pattern.

Creating a driving force for green development

During the 15th Five Year Plan period, State Grid Gansu Electric Power will continue to promote the integration, peak shaving, and consumption of new energy. By 2030, the province's new energy installed capacity will reach 160 million kilowatts, and four pumped storage power stations will be completed and put into operation.

Based on the super large wind and solar power base in desert areas, we will build a multi energy complementary system of "wind, solar, water, fire, and storage". Through models such as green power aggregation and virtual power plants, we will deeply integrate into the national unified electricity market and promote the development of zero carbon related new business models.

Building a Bridge Connecting People's Livelihood and Development

State Grid Gansu Electric Power promotes the "one-day operation" of residential electricity, the "contract operation" of major projects, and the "joint operation" of water, electricity, and gas communication to ensure early power connection and operation of projects. Expand the scope of "zero investment" in low-voltage power supply and reduce the cost of electricity consumption for enterprises.

Deepen the implementation of the rural power grid consolidation and upgrading project to meet the electricity needs of rural industries, charging facilities, and other areas. Accelerate the construction of a national level power emergency main base in the northwest region, promote the construction of coal-fired power projects that have already started, and enhance the scale of electricity load regulation and the ability to ensure power supply safety.
