On March 11, 2026, the Yingqi Cape offshore wind power project, which has a total weight of over 60000 tons, completed the delivery of all its offshore wind duct racks in Zhuhai. This is the largest single unit capacity offshore wind duct rack delivered by China to the European market.
The 8 sets of offshore wind power conduit racks delivered this time are the last batch of core components of the project, with a total weight of 19500 tons, approximately equivalent to the total weight of 15000 household cars; The highest single conduit rack among them reaches 95.44 meters, with a height close to that of a 35 story residential building. The Yingqijiao offshore wind power project includes 18 sets of conduit frames, supporting steel piles, and 24 sets of connecting accessories, with a total weight of over 60000 tons for all steel structures.
Wang Tengfei, Deputy Manager of the Yingqijiao Wind Power Project at CNOOC Engineering: As the first international steel pile wind power conduit frame built in China, the construction process is complex. The project team has pioneered the "side V" construction process for wind duct racks worldwide, achieving zero damage to hydraulic hoses and achieving sub millimeter precision in closing. Independently developed high-strength steel welding technology, achieving a one-time welding qualification rate of over 99%.
The Yingqi Cape offshore wind power project is located in the North Sea of Scotland, UK, with a supporting wind turbine capacity of 15 megawatts per unit and a total planned installed capacity of 1.08 gigawatts.Editor/Yang Meiling
