It not only completes the spatial replacement of water resources, but also revitalizes the millennium old canal, becoming a truly golden waterway between the north and south. At the same time, the western route project is in the stage of in-depth demonstration, with a blueprint drawn up for the future to quench the thirst of water scarce areas in the upper reaches of the Yellow River and reshape the water resource pattern in the northwest.

Since December 12, 2014, the first phase of the East Central Line project has been fully connected to water, and it has been ten years since then. The cumulative water diversion of the project exceeds 76.7 billion cubic meters. Based on ecology, the water quality of the eastern route is stable and reaches Class III surface water, while the central route maintains Class II or above throughout the year, and sometimes even reaches Class I standards, truly achieving the sustainable northward movement of a clear stream of water.

Development is crucial, and the breakthrough of water resources has broken geographical limitations, supporting the GDP growth of over 16 trillion yuan in the north. The eastern route has activated the shipping of the Grand Canal, while the central route has empowered the development of Shijiazhuang's Yangtze River and the construction of Xiong'an New Area, injecting strong water power into the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei.
