Wuhan High Speed Rail Network Upgrades Again

In the national eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railway network layout, the Beijing Hong Kong high-speed railway is a key north-south trunk line on the east side of the Beijing Guangzhou corridor. This line starts from Beijing, passes Xiong'an, Shangqiu and Fuyang, and then forms several directions southward: the east route passes through Hefei Anqing Jiujiang Nanchang Ganzhou Shenzhen to Hong Kong, passes through Hefei Tongling Mount Huangshan Mount Wuyi Fuzhou, and is planned to extend across the Taiwan Strait to Taipei; Xijing Road runs from Fuyang through Xinyang Huanggang Jiujiang Nanchang Ganzhou Shenzhen to Hong Kong. After the completion of the Fuyang Huanggang section, it can be connected.

The main section within Hubei province is the Fuyang Huanggang high-speed railway. The project has been included in the national 15th Five Year Plan, and the feasibility study report has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is planned to start construction within this year. The starting point of the line is Fuyang, Anhui, passing through Xinyang, Henan, and heading south into Hubei. It passes through Hong'an County in Huanggang, Macheng City, Xinzhou District in Wuhan, Huangzhou District in Huanggang, and finally connects to the completed Huanggang to Huangmei high-speed railway.

The Hubei section of the Fuyang Huanggang high-speed railway is approximately 131 kilometers long. Zhou Tianjie, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Railway Fourth Academy, stated that after the completion of the project, the western line of the Beijing Hong Kong high-speed railway will be opened up, forming the second high-speed railway channel from Wuhan to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region and a fast track to the Shandong Peninsula. This is of great significance for supporting the high-quality development of the central region, consolidating the poverty alleviation efforts in the Dabie Mountains area, and assisting in the revitalization of revolutionary old areas.

After the opening of this high-speed railway, the high-speed railway network in Hubei will become even denser. After the line is connected to Huanggang, seamless integration with Wuhan can be achieved through Huanghuang High speed Railway and Wugang Intercity Railway. This also means that in the future, after the completion of the Beijing Hong Kong high-speed railway, starting from Taipei and passing through cities such as Fuzhou, Hefei, and Huanggang, it will be possible to directly reach Wuhan. In addition, Wuhan can also be connected to Taipei via the Fuyin high-speed railway, passing through Jiujiang, Nanchang, and Fuzhou.

Hubei Infrastructure Can Help Taiwan's Transportation Construction

Zhu Fenglian mentioned at the press conference that after the reunification of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, the strong infrastructure capacity of the mainland will provide strong support for the upgrading and transformation of Taiwan's infrastructure. Taiwan's transportation, energy, water conservancy, urban construction, etc. will be upgraded and transformed, and the lives of Taiwanese people will also be more convenient.

Hubei is a typical representative of mainland China's infrastructure strength. As one of the provinces with the highest concentration of central construction enterprises in China, leading enterprises such as China Construction Third Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 11th Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Communications Second Navigation Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China First Metallurgical Group Corporation, Central South Architectural Design Institute, and China Railway Fourth Institute have gathered here, forming a complete industrial chain from design to construction.

Among them, enterprises such as China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Communications Second Navigation Engineering Group Co., Ltd., and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd. have participated in the construction of numerous world-class bridge projects both domestically and internationally, making them a national team in global bridge construction. Industry insiders say that in the future, Hubei's infrastructure team will be able to provide solid technical support for the construction of Taiwan's circular high-speed rail, highways, and cross-strait passages.

High speed rail connects the two sides of the Taiwan Strait

The high-speed rail connection will not only bring convenience to travel, but also profoundly change the lifestyle of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. For Taiwanese compatriots, after the opening of the Beijing Hong Kong high-speed railway, they can depart from Taipei in the morning, pass through Fuzhou, Hefei and other places, arrive in Wuhan in the afternoon, and experience the early culture of Wuhan the next day. Keywords: high-speed rail connection, Fugang high-speed rail, Hubei infrastructure

Hubei has achieved high-speed rail connectivity between cities, and Taiwanese compatriots can travel to Huanggang by car. Each of the 17 cities and prefectures in Hubei has its own characteristics and can be directly visited by high-speed rail. At the same time, people from Hubei can also take high-speed trains to Taiwan. After eating Hot dry noodles in Wuhan in the morning, you can stroll around the Taipei night market in the evening to taste Oyster omelette, pineapple crisp, beef noodles and other snacks.Editor/Gong Ziwei
