Green fuel has been included in the government work report for the first time, becoming a new growth point cultivated by the country during the 15th Five Year Plan period. At almost the same time, the first domestic ship of green hydrogen synthetic ammonia departed from Chifeng and successfully arrived in South Korea. From wind and solar hydrogen production in Inner Mongolia to green ammonia production in Da'an, Jilin, from hydrogen production equipment exports in Hefei, Anhui to green methanol refueling at Hong Kong ports, the green fuel industry is moving at an astonishing speed from demonstration to scale. It is expected that the output value of the entire industry chain will exceed 1 trillion yuan by 2030.

The first ship of green ammonia exports to South Korea

Recently, the first domestic ship of green hydrogen synthetic ammonia has been successfully shipped to South Korea. This batch of green ammonia is produced from the Chifeng Green Hydrogen Ammonia Project, which uses local wind and photovoltaic power to electrolyze water to produce hydrogen gas, and then synthesizes green ammonia with nitrogen in the air. 

The person in charge of the enterprise, Lou Yimin, stated that the successful delivery has verified the end-to-end full chain from green electricity hydrogen production to ammonia synthesis, storage and transportation customs clearance, and international shipping. The project is expected to expand production to 1.5 million tons by 2028, and green hydrogen is expected to become a more inclusive green energy source, transforming into green new oil with market competitive advantages and scalable applications in areas rich in wind and solar resources.

Green ammonia and green alcohol accelerate production

In Songyuan, Jilin, the China Energy Construction Green Hydrogen Ammonia Alcohol Integration Project has been put into operation, with a production load of 80% for the synthetic ammonia unit and a daily green ammonia production capacity of over 500 tons. The head of the company, Li Jingguang, stated that international buyers are inquiring about the remaining production capacity of the first phase project and hope to sign a second phase contract. In Da'an, Jilin, the State Power Investment Corporation's integrated demonstration project for wind solar green hydrogen and ammonia synthesis is operating stably, with an annual production capacity of 32000 tons of green hydrogen and 180000 tons of green ammonia. The head of the enterprise, Hu Ping, pointed out that the fixed cost of green ammonia accounts for a large proportion but continues to decrease, and there is a lot of room for investment compression in subsequent projects. The prospect of trillion yuan output value is promising

An Anhui hydrogen energy equipment company's orders have been scheduled until the end of the year, and the overseas shipment volume doubled in the first quarter. Industry insiders say that the price of methanol has risen by 72% since the beginning of the year, and the global reserve of green fuel projects exceeds 8 gigawatts.
