The existing Nantong Station is located on Yongxing Avenue in Chongchuan District, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. The station has a scale of 3 platforms and 7 tracks, with a total construction area of 11740.6 square meters. The architectural design is inspired by the spreading wings of a great Peng, and the station building adopts a symmetrical layout. The entrance hall and waiting room are both designed with large-span structures, creating a spacious and atmospheric atmosphere. There are indoor courtyards on both sides of the station building, equipped with transparent and bright glass curtain walls, while introducing internal green landscapes. The top of the courtyard is also equipped with skylights, fully implementing the core design concept of people-oriented and flow oriented.

The new station building covers an area of over 50000 square meters

The new Nantong Station building is located on the north side of the existing station building, and after completion, it will operate in parallel with the original station building and play a pivotal role in linkage. The total construction scale of the project is 117500 square meters, including a new station building area of 55000 square meters and supporting passenger service facilities of 37000 square meters. The station building design scheme combines line side and elevated style. After the project is put into operation, the total scale of Nantong Station will be expanded to 9 stations with 20 lines, including the existing Ningqi Station with 3 stations and 7 lines, and the newly built Shanghai Chongqing Rongchang with 3 stations and 8 lines. At the same time, 3 stations with 5 lines will be reserved as intercity stations, which can achieve seamless connection and efficient transfer of multiple lines such as Ningqi Railway and Shanghai Nanjing High speed Railway, further strengthen the hub transportation capacity of the Yangtze River Delta North Wing Yangtze River Railway Channel, and greatly improve the traffic efficiency and scheduling flexibility of the Yangtze River Delta railway network.
