On March 27, 2026, during the Boao Forum for Asia 2026 Annual Conference, Kazakhstan's First Deputy Prime Minister Skriar publicly stated that Kazakhstan will continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China in various fields.

Sklyar pointed out that Kazakhstan highly believes in the strategic value of the the Belt and Road initiative, and is willing to work with China to implement the consensus of the two heads of state and take the the Belt and Road as the main line of bilateral cooperation.

 Both sides will expand their cooperation space in the four directions of energy, trade, connectivity, and digital economy in the future, and promote the China Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.
