Alashan League is rich in solar and thermal wind energy resources and has the unique advantage of developing photovoltaic projects. Recently, China Datang Group Solar Energy Industry Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Alashan League Tenggeli Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a total investment of 4 billion yuan in sandy ecology Cooperation agreement on governance of photovoltaic power generation base project.

It is understood that the project plans to build 1GW of photovoltaic power generation equipment and supporting facilities. After the project is completed, it can realize annual power generation of 1.8 billion kWh.

Alxa League is located in the westernmost part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is one of the regions with the most abundant solar thermal energy resources in the country. The annual sunshine hours are more than 3000 hours, and the development and utilization of solar energy is 600 million kilowatts. The construction of a multi-million-kilowatt-level wind, solar and thermal integrated new energy base with Alxa as the core and a DC ultra-high voltage power transmission channel have been accelerated. The development of new energy has strong momentum and broad prospects.

Photovoltaic sand control projects can not only develop new energy, but also contribute to ecological restoration. The project construction drives ecological construction, adheres to the balanced development of desert governance, ecological restoration, ecological economy, and desert industry, and turns yellow sand into golden sand.
