On April 15, 2026, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with leaders of Chinese leading enterprises in key priority areas such as energy, petrochemicals, advanced technology, renewable energy, and electronic technology.

The meeting focused on further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Arab countries and expanding new paths for economic and development cooperation between the two countries.

His Highness met with Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation. Both sides discussed expanding cooperation in the energy sector, including clean energy solutions, strengthening supply chains to ensure regional and global energy security, and exchanging views on future cooperation opportunities.

His Highness also met with Liao Zengtai, Chairman of Wanhua Chemical Group. The two sides focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in the manufacturing industry, improving operational efficiency through advanced modern technology, and supporting sustainable development of the industry.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also met with Zeng Yuqun, founder and CEO of CATL New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in lithium-ion batteries and energy storage solutions. Both sides exchanged views on topics such as strengthening energy efficiency cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange in the field of battery manufacturing, supporting smart travel solutions, and using advanced technologies to support the net zero goal.

His Highness met with Lei Jun, Chairman of Xiaomi, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in technological innovation and advanced electronics, and to study ways to strengthen the partnership and assist in the digital transformation of key areas on the economic development agenda of the two countries.Editor/Yang Meiling
