In Gui'an New Area, the demand for computing power is growing exponentially. The daily keyword usage of a big data enterprise surged from less than 3 billion in January to nearly 12 billion in April, with massive computing instructions flooding the server cluster. To solve the power shortage, local power supply has accelerated: a 500 kV substation has been put into operation three months ahead of schedule, with an annual power supply capacity of over 13 billion kWh.
Not only should it be available, but it should also be used in a green way. More than 50 clean energy power plants within a 200 kilometer radius of the data center are being dispatched in real-time through the computerized carbon collaborative system. The system dynamically guides the layout of computing power resources based on electricity prices and green power signals, achieving the goal of directing computing power wherever electricity is cheap and where green power is abundant. With the establishment of the Joint Laboratory of Computing and Electronics, computing power and electricity are evolving from a simple supply-demand relationship to precise matching of resonance at the same frequency.Editor/Cheng Liting
