In the first quarter of 2026, the total import and export value of Xinjiang's foreign trade reached 111.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%, setting a new historical high for the same period since breaking through 100 billion yuan for the first time in the first quarter of 2025.

The foreign trade performance of prefecture level cities is impressive, with the import and export value of Yili and Kashgar increasing by 27.7% and 0.9% respectively year-on-year, and Changji and Tacheng making outstanding contributions.
