As the roar of the pile driver echoes across the land of Palau, a ceremony that combines industrial hardness and cultural warmth officially begins
Recently, the commencement of the second phase photovoltaic project in Palau, Romania and the donation ceremony for the "Community Care Action" were successfully held. Chinese Ambassador to Romania Chen Feng and General Manager of Shanghai Electric Power Station Engineering Company Qiu Minghua attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Representatives from project owners, local welfare institutions, and participating units also attended the meeting.

At the ceremony, Shanghai Electric donated materials and funds worth approximately 100000 lei to the Palauan community, specifically supporting the construction of local welfare homes and improving residents' living conditions, taking practical actions to root in the local area and give back to society. The community representative of Palau Welfare Institute expressed sincere gratitude to our side, praising the enterprise for not only assisting local development with high-quality energy projects, but also conveying goodwill and warmth through heartwarming public welfare actions.
At the end of the ceremony, the attending guests cut the ribbon and took a group photo to commemorate the pile foundation ceremony of the Palau Phase II photovoltaic project. The Palau Phase II photovoltaic project is invested and developed by Israel's Eco New Energy Company, and constructed by Shanghai Electric under a general contracting model. The total installed capacity is about 342MW, which is the fourth photovoltaic project that Shanghai Electric has landed in Romania.
After the completion of the project, the average annual power generation is expected to reach 4.4 billion kilowatt hours, providing stable and clean green electricity for Palau and surrounding areas, further optimizing the local energy structure, and assisting Romania's green and low-carbon development. The Palau Phase I project previously undertaken by Shanghai Electric had an installed capacity of approximately 92MW and was successfully accepted in November 2024. Its reliable execution capability directly promoted the implementation of the Phase II cooperation. Keywords: photovoltaic, new energy

With the official launch of the pile foundation project, the Palau Phase II project not only carries the hard target of delivering 4.4 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually, but also becomes a vivid footnote to China Romania energy cooperation and cultural exchanges.Editor/Cheng Liting
