The outline of Gansu Province's 15th Five Year Plan outlines a new development map - seven regions, one screen, and one channel. The seven regions are not seven places, but seven national level industrial positioning: from modern cold and drought characteristic agricultural leading bases to new energy equipment manufacturing bases, from regional modern manufacturing bases to excellent tourist destinations, and then to industrial transfer and undertaking areas, cultural inheritance and innovation bases, and scientific and technological innovation transformation bases, covering the most competitive track in Gansu.

New energy delivers green electricity to the manufacturing industry, computing power equips agriculture with digital engines, and cultural tourism turns cultural resources into industrial value. The seven major sectors work together to make progress. One screen is the ecological security barrier in the western part of the country. The Qilian Mountains, the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and the front line of sand prevention and control constitute the ecological map of Gansu, and also carry the ecological mission of the country.

The first channel is a strategic channel for the country to open up to the west, with multiple international freight trains departing from here and industries from the east and central regions moving westward and landing here.Editor/Cheng Liting
