On May 8, 2026, China's first large-scale integrated energy base transmission project for wind, solar, thermal and storage, the Longdong to Shandong ± 800 kV high-voltage direct current project, celebrated its one-year anniversary of operation. In the past year, the project has delivered a total of 28.8 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, which can meet the annual electricity needs of about 8.49 million households. Among them, new energy accounts for more than 40% of the electricity supply, effectively helping to ensure China's power supply and adding strong green momentum to the green and low-carbon transformation of Gansu and Shandong provinces.

Since the commissioning of the Longdian Shandong project one year ago, it has achieved multiple excellent operational results. During the critical stage of power peak winter, the project achieved a daily transmission of over 100 million kilowatt hours for 49 consecutive days; Since 2026, its external transmission capacity has successfully exceeded 10 billion kilowatt hours.Editor/Gong Ziwei
