The G577 Jinghe Yining County highway project is scheduled to be completed on June 30, 2026. At that time, there will be no need to detour around the Guozigou section from Yining City to Urumqi City, and the driving distance will be shortened by 90 kilometers. The driving time will be reduced from nearly 8 hours to about 6 hours, and crossing the northern Tianshan Mountains will only take 15 minutes.

92 km first-class highway

Jingyi Highway starts from the southwest side of Shashanzi, Jinghe County, connects with Lianhuo Expressway of G30 Line, and ends at Subutai Township, Nilke County, connecting with Dunmaza Nilke Highway of G578 Line, with a total length of about 92.545km. It is constructed as a two-way four lane first-class highway highway, with a design speed of 100km per hour. The main engineering content of the project includes 55 bridges, 5 tunnels, as well as supporting facilities such as interchanges and service areas. As of now, all roadbed, bridge, tunnel, and building construction projects have been completed, and the entire line has entered the final sprint stage.

The highest pier bridge in Xinjiang has been completed

The bridge deck construction of the Borbosong Extra Large Bridge, a control project for the entire line, has been completed, and the construction personnel are doing the finishing work. The total length of the bridge is 938 meters, and the deepest distance between the bridge deck and the valley bottom is 173 meters. It is currently the largest continuous rigid frame bridge under construction in Xinjiang in terms of pier height and span. Liu Wencai, Deputy Manager of the Project Department of Section 4 of Jingyi Highway, introduced that all the main works such as bridges, tunnels, and roadbeds within the section have been completed and entered the final stage of completion and improvement. The construction personnel are drawing signs and markings, and accelerating the installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical facilities. Ili adds another external channel

At present, the Yili River Valley's external expressway mainly relies on the Guozigou section of the Lianhuo Expressway, which was opened earlier. After the completion of the Jingyi Highway, the Ili River Valley will add a major external connection road, building the most convenient interstate expressway from the Ili River Valley to Urumqi.
