In the early morning, as the first ray of sunlight swept over the Adriatic Sea, the traffic in the Montenegrin resort city of Budva gradually increased. The winding Grdjevica River runs through the city, dividing it into two parts - every day, tourists and residents have to detour several kilometers to reach the other side. However, this period of history is about to be rewritten.
Recently, the city of Budva officially launched a road engineering tender worth 18 million euros, planning to build a new link over the stream. This is not only a road, but also a crucial step in connecting two key highways and unblocking tourist arteries.
According to the bidding announcement released this week, the project will adopt a multi-year financing model, with plans to invest 2.65 million euros in 2026 alone. The bidding deadline is set for June 12th, and contractors are required to submit complete documents before this date.

The project schedule is tight. The winning bidder is required to complete the main design within a maximum of 4 months and commence construction work within 15 days after obtaining the construction permit. The maximum construction period is 26 months, and the total time limit from design to completion is set at 30 months.keywords:Engineering infrastructure
The construction of this road is of great significance. It spans the Grdjevica River and will directly connect the planned Budva Ring Road and the Adriatic Ionian Expressway in the future. After the completion of the project, it will not only effectively divert passing vehicles and alleviate regional traffic congestion, but also enhance the coherence and efficiency of the coastal tourism road network, injecting new impetus into the long-term development of Budva, a Adriatic Sea resort.Editor/Yang Meiling
