[Tender for 10MW Optical Storage at Kipsi Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo]Recently, the Kipsi mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo launched a tender for 10MW photovoltaic+200MWh energy storage, jointly promoted by Ivanhoe Mines and Congo National Mining Corporation, with plans to put it into operation by the end of 2027. This century old zinc mine will resume production in November 2024, with output soaring from 20000 tons to 203000 tons by 2025, with a target of 290000 tons by 2026.
