[Latest progress on the China Weishu high-speed railway to Qingdao line] On the early morning of June 3, 2026, the Weisu high-speed railway to Qingdao connecting line crossed the Great Wall continuous beam and successfully closed in Zhucheng, Shandong. The total length of the beam is over 237 meters, with a main span of 108 meters. Due to the fact that Liangxia Qi Great Wall is a national level cultural heritage site, the construction party optimized the construction plan and tackled key technologies to achieve precise closure while protecting cultural relics. This line is a key connecting project of the national high-speed railway network, expected to be opened in 2028. After opening, it will open up a fast high-speed railway channel from Jiaodong to Beijing Tianjin Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta.Editor/Gong Ziwei
