[Beijing's first space computing industry innovation center established] On June 1, 2026, the Beijing Satellite IoT Industry Development Conference was held in Haidian. The first space computing power industry innovation center in Beijing was approved and established, jointly built by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and industry leaders. The center focuses on tackling key technologies across the entire industry chain in six major directions, and plans to officially unveil and form an alliance by the end of June. Beijing has issued relevant plans, aiming to build a domestic satellite IoT demonstration city by 2030. • On June 3, 2026, the construction of the largest installed capacity pumped storage power station in western China, the Warang Pumped Storage Power Station, shifted from construction preparation to the main construction phase. The total investment of this project is 15.94 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 2.8 million kilowatts.
