The total length of the vessel is 161.8 meters, with a maximum cable carrying capacity of 16000 tons. On June 16, 2026, the CGN Golmud 350 MW solar thermal demonstration project officially started construction, breaking two global records: the largest single unit thermal storage capacity and the largest mirror field area. The project is equipped with a 15 hour molten salt thermal storage device with a thermal storage capacity of 11747 megawatt hours. The estimated annual power generation is 1 billion kilowatt hours, equivalent to saving 320000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 860000 tons.
