After receiving the police, the Baise City Fire Rescue Detachment Command Center immediately went to rescue with 3 rescue teams, 1 heavy earthquake rescue team, 12 fire trucks, 68 commanders and 3 search and rescue dogs.

According to the rescuers, the scene was the "post tunnel" under construction on Leye Avenue, Leye County, and 9 construction workers were trapped. After the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they immediately launched the investigation. According to the feedback from the on-site construction personnel, the arched steel support at the site about 540 meters away from the tunnel entrance was hit by a boulder at the top of the tunnel. The support has completely collapsed, and the surrounding area of the support is broken. stone. At present, the electricity and ventilation inside the tunnel are normal. The fire department used the radar life detector to conduct three detections. As of 5 a.m. on September 11, no signs of life had been detected.

Immediately after the incident, more than 400 people from the departments of emergency response, public security, fire protection, housing construction, natural resources, health, transportation, and hospitals rushed to the scene to carry out rescue work. At present, Baise City has initiated Level I emergency response to safety production accidents. After the site headquarters and Guangxi road and bridge tunnel construction experts studied, judged and analyzed, they decided to strengthen the collapsed work surface before rescue.
